ON TOUR: BBTBTE 2006, Zürich, Bologna, Graz & Vienna

This week’s gallery is a mixed bag of random merchandise booth shots, miscellaneous tour shots and a few live pictures of Mr. Lordi wearing the Biomechanic Man mask on stage. I don’t know, don’t ask what was going on at this point on the Bringing Back The Balls To Europe 2006 tour… I don’t have any concert photos from the Zürich, Graz or Vienna shows, but I have some from the Bologna one. In Italy, Mr. Lordi wanted a photo of him wearing the mask during Biomechanic Man so I took a couple. There are few really good ones! The red flood lights make him look extra twisted! I can’t remember what it was for or if he ever even used the photos anywhere, though. But I didn’t have any good photos of that mask on this tour either, so it all worked out perfectly!

After these four shows, the tour was supposed to move to Spain for four shows, but some of the crew and the band got sick so they had to cancel those shows in Spain. Mr. Lordi didn’t want to travel back to Finland for the 10-day break and neither did I. So he asked if I wanted to go on an adventure with him and his fiancée at the time. What do you think my answer was…!? While the rest of the band & crew flew back to Finland, we decided to stay in Vienna for another day and shop our asses off in geek memorabilia and toy shops. After that, we flew to London, UK for a couple of days and from there we went to the countryside for about a week, to Kington, Herefordshire, near the Wales border to recharge our batteries. There was this awesome Small Breeds Farm Park & Owl Centre near there so of course we went to see some friggin’ owls. It was a really nice “vacation” and we still got to stay in the tour life mood for not going back home.

The tour picked up again at Hof Ter Lo in Antwerp, Belgium on October 22nd. I don’t have any photos from there but I have some from the next show in Paris two days later. And that’ll be the topic of next week’s throwback gallery!
