LORDIARY hits the store shelves today in Finland

Lordiary, the long-awaited Lordi biography book is officially released today here in Finland. This massive, 832-page behemoth tells the whole story and nothing but the story of Mr. Lordi and his band from the very beginning up to present day in a very honest and sincere fashion. First announced in October 2020 and published by Tammi, the book is written by a journalist and mass media multitalent, Maria Jyrkäs and Mr. Lordi. In addition to all the current and most of the previous band members, the people close to the band all get their say.

For now, the book is only in Finnish and is released in three versions; the physical hardcover book, an audiobook and an e-book. The first chapter of the audiobook is read by Mr. Lordi himself. According to the official statement, translation and international publishing rights are being negotiated, so hopefully this monster will be accessible to fans outside of Finland too.

Lordiary includes two big photo inserts with hundreds of never-before-seen photos throughout the years. I even got to be a part of this book in a few ways. I got interviewed for the book, so some of my stories and comments are in it. I was also fact-checking some dates and details about the years 2002-2010. And finally, there are many never-before-published photos taken by me in the photo inserts.
