MEET & GREET: September 2nd 2022, Tivoli Sariola
On Friday, September 2nd 2022 Lordi held a meet & greet signing session at Tivoli Sariola in Tapanila, Helsinki promoting the upcoming Lordiary book. The author of the book, Maria Jyrkäs, was also there to meet the fans. This was also a perfect chance for people to take a ride on the recently completed Lordi ghost train, which was first introduced in the Borderline music video in October 2021. The ride is a part of Tivoli Sariola’s traveling fair and there’s still a few locations you can catch it at before the end of the year.
No one had really anticipated how many people showed up. The lines were long and the exclusive signed Lordiary posters ran out fast, but the band powered through the almost 2-hour session in sun and little rain and everyone got their moment and photos with the band. I was also there to commemorate and to capture the event for MonsterDiscoHell and for the band, and also to take photos of some of you guys; the most hardcore and active MDH followers! Here’s my photo report from the meet & greet! I got to meet and chat with so many of you, which was super nice! After the session I organized and took a couple of giant friend photos featuring the band and the loyal and patient fans who had stayed until the very end! Those turned out nice and they’re a really cool memory to have. You monstermaniacs are so frickin’ awesome! Thank you for this awesome & unforgettable day!
And oh, just to let you know, before the main gates were opened and the meet & greet started, the band gave some interviews to the reporters and posed in photos with the book. And I’ve got tons of photos from that too. Maybe that’ll be another gallery at some point after the book is officially released.
